Airbrushing Lifecolor
Posted by Brian D. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 11:06 AM

Am wondering if anyone can provide me with tips or techniques for better airbrushing Lifecolor acrylics?  Whenever I airbrush them they seem to spatter on the plastic in little dots.  It takes me at least a couple of hours to airbrush a solid coat on the model I am painting.

When I do airbrush them I thin to a 40/60 mix of thinner to paint.  I have been using Tamiya thinner which seems to work better than the Lifecolor thinner I used.  As suggested on this forum, I have been setting my compressor between 10-15 psi for airbrushing.

I wanted to use their dark green for painting Russian armor, so I don't know if this is just the normal way that this paint airbrushes.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
