Alclad II application
Posted by snapdragonxxx on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 3:09 AM

Hi chaps,

I am wanting to build a series of the Trumpeter 1/32 P47 Thunderbolt kits and would like to have a go with Alclad II paints.

I don't use an airbrush, not having the space or facilities so I wondered if I could apply it with a brush

TIA

James

Alclad is not suitable for brush painting, it's far to thin. I'm sure that soemone with more knowledge on metallics suitable for brushing will be able to give you some advice on what is available. Ahve you considered foil?

The paint requires application with an airbrush.

You can use other paints such as Model Master which can be applied with a brush and if you want to give them a higher luster of a shine, you can polish them out with Hawkeye's Polishing Powders.
