Cleaner just came in
Posted by Kentucky Colonel on Friday, February 11, 2011 10:07 AM

I ordered a Ultasonic Cleaner Model CD3800A from Amazon for $37.50 with free shipping.

It's a large one and I will be using it to clean my airbrushes as well as all other kinds of things like eyeglasses, jewery, watchbands, elect razors heads, certain small tools, etc.

I placed my Iwata Eclipse next to it to show the size of the cleaner. I'll report on how good a job it does.

Be careful about putting any airbrush bodies in. The front end of my Iwata HP-C+ is all metal, so I thought I'd dunk it in there (color cup forward). It cleaned it great...and the ultrasonic action pushed paint up the needle channel into the main barrel of the body, messing with the trigger. Oops.

I do love it for bottles, nozzle heads, and glasses though!

Did you stick the whole air brush in it, or did you olny stick parts in it? If you put the whole thing in there I would assume you disassembled it first?

From the size of it you could almost get the pee out of the cat.

You need the deluxe version for cat pee removal, costs $229 and a permission slip from your wife...

I disassembled it and only put the parts that had paint on them in it.

My cleaner came in yesterday.

Now I do clean my airbrush after each use so I don't consider myself lazy, but I do have one with a sticky trigger that I just could not seem to fix. I threw it in the cleaner and it came out great. No sticking and the parts seem almost like new.

I will not use it everytime I spray but on occasion I will dunk it back in the tank for a good deep clean. Right now I am glad I bought the cleaner, we will see how it goes as I use it more.
