I've airbrushed Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer using both Tamiya Lacquer thinner and denatured (90%+ ethyl) alcohol. (Note - NOT Isopropyl alcohol - it won't even mix) I find it works better with the lacquer thinner, but it should work with DnA.

I can't suggest a thinning ratio because I also use the LSP with a brush or other implement as a general-purpose filler and as a result, it has thickened somewhat over time. I just thin it till it looks about right.

Are you referring to Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer? If so, there's a thread that mentions that since it's lacquer-based, it's better thinned with Tamiya's lacquer thinner. That stuff is pricey though, you might get away with ordinary lacquer thinner, though I've never tried their primer or lacquer thinner personally. I like the Mr. Surfacer products, or the canned Tamiya Surface Primer.

I have a bottle of Tamiya Surface primer that is quite thick.  I tried denatured alcohol to thin, but it clogged my airbrush and turned to gunk quickly.

Any suggestion on what to use to thin this for my HP-C+ AB?  Is it better through an Aztek?  What thinning ratio should I use?

Thanks in advance for y'all's advise.
