I just finished my Trumpter 1/32  F4F-3 Wildcat  the first thing I did when I started the build was to spray the wind shield and canopy cover with Future it laid on my work bench for 2 weeks. Then I masked and sprayed the frame I was amazed at the difference Future made!                                   HAPPY B-DAY TO ME 64 YEARS AT 6AM MONDAY MORING 2/28/47                 ON BENCH DML 1/35 AUFKLARUNGSPANZER38(T)

use future not so much for protecting the plastic as for making it more transparent. It also fills in little scratches too...and if you do have a problem with the painting just soak it in windex and it all comes off then redip and repaint...just a reminder..after dipping let the future cure a good 2 days....

good luck

You are still able to paint the frame after dipping.  The Future actually helps with masking by making the tape a little easier to remove.

Both types of paint will work on Future.

Hope this helps.

I see that some modellers dip their canopies in Future to protect them.

1. Can you do this and still paint the frame or do you have to paint the frame before you dip it.

2. Will acrylic and enamels stick to the future if you dip the canopy before painting.
