Whew! Thanks.  None to be had in Vegas, and I've been waiting a while.  Do you have any online sources?

Talked to local shop today - there is something going on with certain Tamiya paints, etc.  Some blah blah about chemicals, packaging, blah blah.  Bottom line, I gots no thinner.  This guy recommeded using windex.

I've used a online company called etamiya.com, I live in the UK and Tamiya thinners was a problem for me to get as well.

The delivery and packaging was really good, I ordered alot of supplies as Tamiya products like thinners can be hard to come by.

Hope this helps.

You can use either Isopropyl or denatured alcohol as a substitute. You may need to add a little acrylic retarder to your mix (it's recommended to mix it with the alcohol first before mixing with the paint.

You can find acrylic retarders at art supply stores.

You may find, if you use gloss Tamiya acrylics, that when thinned with alcohol, you may not achieve a full high gloss finish. It's not a problem with the flat colours though.

Don't use Windex as a thinner.Wink
