Bare Metal Foil questions...
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 9:57 PM

I am building a grav tank for the game Warhammer 40K. I want to use Bare Metal Foil to make it look chromelike. Now...once I put the foil on, can I paint over it? Do I use a wash to make the panel lines of the tank stand out? what about decals and future washes etc...

anything else I should consider?

I haven't gotten as far as putting decals or washes on, but DO NOT use anything metal to burnish the foil!!!!! Only use soft wood or toothpicks!! Unfortunately I bought a nice little burnishing tool made out of metal, and it put little scratches on the surface that will not come out!!! So use toothpicks like is suggested on the instruction sheet.!!! Wish I would have read the directions!!!

Thanks for the tip! I was planning on using a burnishing tool also.
