Glad you asked this.  Mine's very new, but I really need to check the operator's instructions,.Yes

Mine had a replacement date printed on the package when I bought them, but I don't see any date on the filters themselves.  They were good for about 5 years from date of purchase.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Respirator Filter Replacement
Posted by oddmanrush on Monday, April 4, 2011 10:11 AM

Hi guys,

I use a respirator when I airbrush...Keeps the lungs pink rather than a dull shade of olive drab or something...any way, I received them from my father in law who retired from the State Police force not long ago. I got them new, with new filters and have used them a handful of times over the past two years or so.

What is the frequency that I should be replacing the filters?

When using them, they still seem to work as I do not detect any noticeable fumes but I don't want to assume anything. I'm planning on getting some new filters any way, but I want to know if any of you have a rule of thumb or something determining how often you change your filters.

Thanks,

Jon
