You may get a bit of roughness in the overlap area, but this is usually easily sanded out. If you gloss overcoat, the sanded area will look fine, otherwise you may need to polish the area a bit to restore the gloss.

Lightly spray painting an already painted surface

Hey guys, I ran into a bit of a snag, I just realized that I missed a little bit of a patch on the bottom of the bumper of a model that I spray painted, nothing has been assembled yet so thats good, but would I be able to just lightly spray over this portion and call it a day? or since part of the surface has already been painted will it create some kind of funny look?
