Here is what I tried and I got close. Convert Tamiya to Humbrol and then Humbrol to Polly S

Humbrol 69 = Tamiya X8, but I did not see a Polly S version. But maybe you can.

I went through a question something like this and found Tamiya's color combination was the same as Testor's Interior Green.

I'm trying to imagine an A10 in yellow, so I'm guessing the lemon Yellow is for bomb tips? Maybe a bottle of something else will work?

Yeah, having checked more carefuly I notice the Citadel paints don't have any kind of alcohol smell to them in the jar (as opposed to say, Tamiya acrylics). It seems like they may work better thinned with water and probably a little of something to break the surface tension (like the Windex in your recipe). I'll give them another go, I'd really like to get them to work thru my airbrush as they are real nice paints. It's a pity the company that makes them doesn,t cater for airbrush users (I don,t think they even market a thinner). Thanks mate.

At the time, I did use Windex, I just decided to write what I found. I didn't use metallic paints, so I don't know if there is a different mixture. From what I have read here and other places, paints react differently to different solutions. The Windex and water formula might have been the solution (no pun) for thinning as opposed to straight alchohol.

ngc7293, when you say windshield fluid, could you use Windex? I tried airbrushing some Citadel metallics last week but I thinned with alcohol and my airbrush gummed up severely and took ages to clean out. In fact it created one hell of a mess.
I really like the way their metallic colours look (nice fine pigment), so I'm tempted to try again with your thinner recipe. does it clean up OK without gunking up in your brush? Thanks.

airbrushing Citadel

Thinning soluiton: 50/50 windshield fluid and water.
Then 60% thinner to 40% paint.
