Future is neat stuff.... like Mike mentioned it creates a great surface to decal onto. I also like to shoot some future on just before I weather something with artist oils. It sprays nicely and cleans up nicely. Sometimes it looks rough when first sprayed but after awhile is smooths out really nice.

It works great either brushed on or sprayed on and does not harm enamels or acrylics. Some people prefer to brush it on and others prefer to spray it, the choice is yours. It will smooth out and self-level itself and not leave brush marks if you just let it sit and dry after brushing it on.
Swanny has written the definitive article on it here at this link if you would like to learn more about it: http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html

If you paint with flat paints then you need to make the surface smooth for the decals or else they will silver. That is where Future floor wax comes in. It is really nothing more than clear acrylic paint and gives the surface a nice, smooth finish for the decals to adhere to.
