Painting my canopys with the Tamiya smoke, they turn out opaque

Anyone know why when i paint my canopys with the Tamiya smoke, after there dry , they turn out kind of opaque? Im thinning with denatured alcohol, and i have my airpressure set around 25 psi.
ANy advice would be most helpful
