While waiting for the Panzer III GB to start in July I figured I would give this color modulation thing a shot on a my test subject. I've read a lot about this technique but haven't read anything concerning the paint to thinner ratios. I would assume that all of the layers after the basecoat would be thinned slightly more than normal allowing for a more translucent buildup of paint.
I'm using tamiya paint thinned 50:50 with laquer thinner for the basecoat but I'm not sure about the other layers. Anyone tried this technique and if so, would thinning the paint slightly more than usual be advisable?
