Super Clean degreaser is the best followed by Easy-Off oven cleaner in the original yellow can.

Both contain Lye and work well on paints.

I have a 1/35 scale plastic figure i have painted with acrylic modelmaster paints. How do I strip the paint to start over fresh??

Do you remember that old series of International House Of Pancakes commercials that touted IHOP as the "International House Of Omelets / Crepes / Entries / Whatever" ??? In this case, you need Easy-Off Plastic Model Stripper (AKA oven cleaner). Wear gloves.

For acrylic paints, Windex or denatured alcohol. Either one should work.

I have had good success soaking the parts in Windex, to soften and remove acrylics.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Alot of people here swear by oven cleaner, ive never done it myself so im not sure how effective it is. But ive used Detol (disinfectant) in the past, only issue i had was a slight softening of the detail.
