My way to paint car and bike bodies

Maybe this can help others out there. I like to use automotive paints like Dupli-Color. I've read about a way to paint the bodies with other laquers but needed many sandpaper grits, up to 12000! Well the highest grit I use is only 2000. First sand the body to remove mold lines and to get a "Tooth" on the body. Then prime with dupli-color primer best suited for the final color. See if any more sanding is needed to remove mold lines, if so, sand and prime again. I let the primer dry for about 4 hours. Then mist on several coats of your color sanding with 600-800 grit paper. Then spray a wet coat. Let it dry for about 3 hours then sray another wet coat. This time let the whole thing dry for a couple of days. Then lightly sand the whole body with 600-800 grit sandpaper. Then lightly sand with 1000 then even lighter with 2000. Then use Maquires Deep Crystal System. It is a three step process, 1 is a paint cleaner, 2 is the Polish, and 3 is the Carnauba Wax. Just do what the instructions on the back of the bottles say. I really love the final look of all this, nice and wet looking and water beads off
