I decanted my first can the other to use in my aibrush. Testor's Dark cherry pearl, to use on a 69 dodge charger. Might I say it was messy but that did not deter me.
Anyways.... I thinned it out with some airbrush thinner and proceeded to aribrush the body and other various parts. It worked beautifully and just about how I wanted it (It was a little flat but I figure a couple coats of future after final painting will fix that right up). Low and behold I ran out of my mix with a spot left on the car that needed to be painted.
What the heck, I'll just hit this spot straight from the can since I will give it a couple more coats anyways. Not as soon as the paint hit the body, it bubbled. Those little annoying things that test my patience and resolve more so than putty applied with reckless abandon.
I have seen spray paint do this before and for the life of me I cannot figure out why it does this. Could it be where I live? Northeast Texas, the temp was around 96 - 98 and the humidity is through the roof.
Anybody have any ideas?
I know now to just straight up decant the sprays and thin them and airbrush it.
Cheers,
