MM Acryl thinning/cleaning issues

My worth is I always use the manufacturers thinner for their products. MM Acryl thinner works great for their line. Tamiya X20A  thinner works for their line. For me, the extra price is worth it to not have the problem you described.

Wingman, I used "MM Acryl Thinner" and it didn't work. Or was it the alcohol I first tried that messed it up?

Don't use alcohol with MM Acryll. It's water based.

That being asked, one issue frequently encountered with Acrylics is what works with one brand, does not always work with another brand. I think there are too many acrylic paint formulas out there to make a true "universal" cleaner or thinner possible save for certain chemicals such as lacquer thinner, acetone, etc.

MM Acryl Airbrush Cleaner (looks the same but labeled differently) works pretty good for its stated purpose I have found. Their thinner is just that, a  thinner. It has no real cleaning properties or effects.

The best cleaner for your airbrush is lacquer thinner......works for everything.

I have no problems when I use the Acryl thinner.  I also use Windex and that works fine to clean up after using MM Acryl Flat also.
