Shake for at least 1 minute.

Heat the can in warm to hot water, I usually just use hot tap water although I read to heat up on the stove in water. This I do not recommend as if the paint is forgotten on the stove the results can be explosive!

Test spray on something with texture, a piece of wood works good for this. If globs or anything but a fine mist appears do not use on a model!

Shake some more and between sprays.

Clear nozzle by spraying upside down until a clear propellent appears, wipe the end with a cloth.

Like other paint products some colors / batches are duds. Look outside the LHS for alternatives, yellow is one that is better outsourced to the hardware store. Krylon yellow is better than hobby specific.

 El Taino:

I've only seen these cans on pictures of the RoG model kit boxes and now this picture Whistling

I would love to have one though just for the sake of having it. My LHS is giving away old school paints they have from the 70's and 80 for free (1 per customer). By the look of them, I think they are no longer good, but makes a nice nostalgic item from our early modeling years.

I can send you one if you want.  PM me you ship to address.

Thanks so much my friend, you made my morning. A PM has been sent.

Revell Mini-Rattle Cans
Posted by Echo139er on Saturday, July 9, 2011 1:59 PM

My brother came back from Germany with a box full of what I am calling Revell Mini-Rattle Cans.

He brought me at least 50 cans of various colors.  My experiance thus far has been less than fair.

I must have tried 4 diffrent ones, all brand new, and they all sprayed the paint in blotches.  I did not matter how long a shook them for.

However... once I decanted those same cans.  The paint worked awesome in the AB without thinning.

Has anyone here used these cans before?
