What not to do when cleaning an airbrush

Now I am seriously glad for having a Paasche. It would take a hammer to hurt the needle in my airbrush. I don't like the disassembly process for cleaning, but on the plus side it is designed to be nearly indestructible.

Mine rolled off my desk, stuck right into the floor (fine tip also). Still works like the day I got it!

Exactly the reason why I only dissemble the airbrush every 4th or 5th time I use it.

It fell from the edge of the bowl to the bottom so at most 6 inches. Its a fine/extra fine needle so its very thin anyway. Least it wasnt the one from my Velocity

I did something similar to that when I dropped the needle to my Iwata Eclipse. So yeah, we've all been there.

Hmmm! Very interesting large hook. How high and what did you drop the needle onto to make it?

I dinged a made-in-China knock-off needle and ruined the tip once. I can feel the bend at the tip, but it was too small to see it well with naked eyes.
