I use an airbrush to apply Future to my aircraft models for decals and weathering. My problem is I can never get it applied to a smooth finish. If I hold it in one place long enough to get the effect I want, it starts to puddle. When I try building up multiple layers I usually get an orange peel look.
My pressure is set at approx 15psi and I spray a medium-to-heavy volume, about 1"-1.5" wide. The middle portion of the spray pattern looks good but the outer edges are hazy. So, when I move along to the next panel, the outer edge of the next spray pattern (hazy) lands on the previous panel making it hazy also.
What I usually end up with strips of gloss and strips of hazy. Any suggestions?
