true. the talon is nothing special. it may need to be replaced. paasche needles are real weak.

This is a really interesting option, GMC Cyclon. The price is right. The noise spec is include :

Ultra Quiet only 56 Decibels

No, I have not used one myself and have no idea if it is up to what they advertise. You are the guinea pig modeler of this unit. I will not call 56 dB to be ultra quiet, but it is at the same level as most Iwata or Sparmax airbrush compressors.

Chicago Airbrush Supply carries another model with a bigger tank from the same manufacturer.

Don. If you are looking for a good, and quiet, compressor I would recommend the Thayer and Chandler Air Star V. I've had mine for 8 years and it's done well. Listed at $200 at that website. Good luck!
