Dood_Dood,
Did you check if your new X-3 is the same as your old X-3?
Since you have had one for years, I assume that you know what you were doing in cleaning and re-assembling. On second thought, BearAir may have a different airbrush and called it the old name. You could have missed something when putting it back together. Let us know how you resolve the problem.
Other manufacturer had change airbrush and kept old name. It always caused confusion, particularly in spare part replacement.
Thanks gang, I appreciate the input!
That's pretty much what I was thinking.
Pay for the postage to send it back to the supplier, wait a week or two, then have to pay for the return postage & possibly repair - It would be wise to rule out any issues not covered by warranty before return.

Blow back is caused by debris, improper assembly after cleaning or your paint isn't thin enough...none of these are warranty issues so don't be surprised if they refuse to do anything with/about it.

dood_dood My peak x-3 airbrush is blowing air back into the paint bottle. I've tore it down and cleaned it liked crazy. Any clue what's wrong? It's a fairly new brush, my previous x-3 lasted years. This one is a few months old.

Did you try brush through the nozzle? Put the front part of the body in an ultrasound cleaner? Check for change in design of the new X-3 from the old. If they are identical and you've done the same cleaning and re-assemble for years, it may be a defective airbrush.
Since it is only months old, I will send it back to BearAir for under warranty service.
I expect most airbrush to last a life time with some nozzle/needle replacement occasionally. For the mean time, use your old X-3.
I'm not familiar with Peak airbrushes, but bubbling in the paint cup / bottle is often a sign of a sealing problem at the nozzle or in the paint path.
Check that your air cap is fastened properly, check the nozzle & air cap seals & make sure that there is nothing on any of the mating faces that might be causing a poor seal & do the same for the rest of the paint path. If none of that helps, check your nozzle out under a magnifying glass / lamp for any damage, such as a hairline split running up from the nozzle tip.
