Vallejo HELP

You might want to try an "airbrush medium" from an art store. Golden paints & Liquitex brand come to mind.

You could also try Valleoj's own thinner..its probably similar to the Testors thinner that was suggested earlier.

I usually mix the thinner/medium in a cup with distilled water, mix and then add that to the paint. I have had good results with Model Color. I'm not sure why but some colors require less or more to get it to spray right.

 You'll have to experiment with the ratio's for your particular A/B. Be careful not to add too much A/B medium as it can slow drying times.

Could it be that you have a clump of paint at the bottom of the bottle? That's why I stay away from Vallejo, I don't like their bottle system but that's a whole 'nother story. I have some colors for figure painting with a brush. With AB it is all what you've probably heard of. Mines flow very well with my AZTEK A470 (Tan Nozzle) or Badger Velocity (or Paasche Talon). I as Griffin above, also thin with MM Universal Acrylic Thinner.

I have heard some folks use isopropyl alcohol to thin it, but can't say for sure, as I have never used Vallejo acrylics.  Might be worth testing.

I've only just started airbrushing but I started with Vallejo Models.

I thin the paint with Testor's Universal Acrylic Thinner. The ratio I use is 1:1 Paint/Thinner. I may add an extra drop of thinner or two to get the consistency I think I need. (I don't know for sure, I'm new to this.) I mix in the cup and touch the toothpick to the side of the cup to see if it "flows freely" to the bottom.

DoogsATX uses Vallejos as well and has had success with Future as a thinner.
