airbrush hose thread
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 29, 2004 2:45 PM
Wonder if anyone can help I have just bought a airbrush on ebay it is a
ROYAL SOVEREIGN model RS-703 I have been unable to find any info on this make or model.

It looks like a IAWATA can't remember the model but it has a fairly large cup and is dual action. The body is all metal silver in colour.

What I need is either a thread adaptor or full air hose but I do not know what the thread size is. It is not a 1/8 aka Badger but larger. If I measure across the width of the thread it looks to be about 3/8 inch.

The only adaptor I have been able to find is a 1/4 - 1/8 not yet bought hoping someone can confirm what I require.

Many thanks for looking

Pete

Sorry, Don't know anything about the brush.

My best suggestion would be to take it to a good Arts Supply shop and ask them to check for a fitting adapter.

Head to your hardware store with all parts you need to fit together in hand and look for compression connectors and adapters. Use teflon tape to seal the thread of any loose fits where air may be escaping.
