I AB krylon all the time also with no problems.

 

be sure to let your freshly decanted paint sit around for at least 30 mins to gas out though. or else if you stir it, it will be like a volcano and erupt all over the place lol.

Sounds like you are not shaking the can enough prior to decanting.  I decant Krylon flat black all the time and never had that problem.

I would say put the can in warm water for a few minutes, shake it real well and try decanting again.

Decanted spray paint should be the exact thickness you need for AB. Go a little slower or lower your air pressure a bit and see if that works

 Can anyone give me tips on Decanning spray paint.  Every time I do it it comes out way too thin. I have to put several coats on with both my air brush and any hand painting I do. I ran out of flat black and gloss white and had to use krylon untill I can get a paint order placed. thanks J
