Handling Model with Matt Tamiya Paints

I was going to say oils but you said you wash your hands. Have you tried gloves?

You may be smoothing out the bumpy "flat" surface when you rub it.

Thanks for the reply Hercmech, Now that you mention it, There is a bumpy surface to the finish,  I normally feel when it us going gives me problems before it does. 

I'm thinking it could be my spraying conditions, which can be a bit damp at times, a coat of matt varnish will normally even the finish out.  But I am about to embark on some heavy masking over the same type of paint so I am a little apprensive.

Hi,first of all is very important to wash the model with few mild soap and not too warm water.So doing you can eliminate dust and electrostatic charge from your model.When is completely dry go with primer.Let's to rinse the primer then give a very light hand of colour and dry with phone then repeat this operation.At this point you can spray some hands to finish your work.Remember to thin like milk consistency and spray not too hight pressure (1,2 bar is good......).Finally better several light hands than few heavy.....Ciao Enrico.

P.S. Is a good thing to filtrate the colour by woman's collant................do you know???
