sounds like your thinning an enamel with acrylic thinner.

 Sounds like you have Acrylic (WATER based) paint with thinner for enamel (OIL based) paint.

Are you using enamel or acrylic paint?

i need to use model master semi gloss black in my  air brush but this paint does not thin with enamel thinner .  it seperates like oil and water how do you thin ?  it and why does this one paint behave like this? any help ?  thank you .
