I'm hoping someone here can help solve a bit of a mystery I'm having. I'm working on Mobeus Models' 1/32 scale Viper Mk II. I washed the parts in warm water with the same amount of Dawn dish soap and allowed them to dry for several days. For white, I use Krylon spray white for plastics, and have always had good results with it. This time however the paint ran from areas of the surface. It's kind of hard to explain, but if you imagine how greasy liquid runs from drops of liquid soap, it's sort of like that. Anyway, after the paint dryed I stripped it and began the process again, this time using Krylon white primer and a brand new can of gloss white paint. The effect has greatly diminished, but it's still happening, and the gloss isn't, well, glossy. At best it's semi-gloss in spots and flat everywhere else. The strangest thing is on the wings, where there are strange whorle patters that were visible on the bare plastic that are showing through the primer and the paint.
Does anyone know what's going on here and how to fix it?
