Iwata Eclipse

I have been using a single action airbrush and want to get a double action airbrush that I could use for detailing also. I was thinking about the Iwata Eclipse and was wondering if it is better to get the bigger cup or smaller cup? This will be my only airbrush I will be using for my airplane and car builds.

well since you do cars they require more paint so i would go with the big cup so you dont have to constantly add more paint other than that there identical.

a ( siphon feed model ) is even better cause you can use the large paint jars, which is usefull for clear coating when you dont want to stop halfway through if you run out of paint!

Well I'm use to the Aztek brand  brushes and got a small and large cup so all I got to do is swap out the big cup  to small cup for the smaller paint jobs don't waist as much paint that way

But for you I would go for the large cup and after a while you will get to know how much paint and thinner you need for it unless of course you can remove them like I can with the Aztek then it would not matter.

I have the Eclipse HP-CS as my main modeling airbrush. Its cup size is better suited for modeling than the small HP-BS cup. Just my personal opinion.

I would also say the HP-CS as I would certainly find the cup on the HP-BS a bit on the restrictive side.

I agree with the others. You don't have to put much in it even though it has a larger cup.

That is the nice thing about gravity-feed airbrushes. Smile

id go with the CS. yeah, the cup is on the large but side if you happen to shake it by accident it won't spill everywhere.
