Quick Boost and True Details resin parts
Posted by wjbwjb29 on Saturday, December 10, 2011 12:56 PM

Hello;

I have some resin after market patrs that need to be cleaned before painting. What is normally used to clean resin parts of there mold release agents. As mentioned in the subject line they are from Quick Boost and True Details and they seem to be quit clean with no oily residue. Any thoughts.

Better safe than sorry. I use Polly Scale Plastic Prep for clean up. Works like a charm. A primer coat before whatever painting you do would probably be a good idea too. I find that many paints don't stick too well to resin without priming.

BTW, those Quick Boost resin parts are superb! True Details are a good product as well. Just right for the price.

OK thanks. I have Polly scale plastic prep so I will give them an overnight soak and then prime.
