looking for a cheap/good way to clean my enamel paint brushes.  I have read some of the earlier threads but got confused if they were thinning their paint, cleaning their airbrush, or cleaning their hand held brush.  In enamels I mainly use Model Master.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  thanks

For cleaning enamel paint off brushes, I use odorless mineral spirits.  Big can from Lowes or Home Depot lasts quite a while.

Turpentine works fine also.  Do not use the generic "paint thinner" these days.  Some real crud is being sold. It contains a high amount of solids, which can end up in your paint job :-(

I agree with the mineral spirits, but as a last step I gently massage soapy water into the bristles and rince, Then, I drag the bristles almost parallel to a paper towel while twisting the brush to form a point and let dry.  The bristles stay soft and I have been using the same Sable brushes for years.
