Seriously? People are so un-trusting these days. Doesnt help that half the internet is scams these days. If these scammers put as much effort into a real job as they put into their scams. They would probably make just as much money.

Anyway, lets get this ship back on the railway.

Nice airbrushes.

Honestly, I've offered to do just that a couple of times but never got a reply. I guess they figured it was a scam. Oh well...

Care to donate one of the old boys to the cause?Angel

And what cause would that be? Smile

There's a couple others I didn't include. They aren't of the Badger family. I'd love to take a Micron for a test drive but no one around here sells them. Something to aspire to though. lol Maybe a C or C Plus first.

As far as lubing goes, I take the brush apart and give any metal to metal moving parts a wipe with light oil. Not enough for it to migrate anywhere it isn't wanted. From time to time I'll wipe the front half of the needle with glycerin. That's it. You don't have to do either, that's just me.

Tony

The "Poor modeller who doesn't have an airbrush" cause? lol Im just kidding of course.

Don Wheeler

Congratulations on the new airbrush.  Acquiring them can be addictive, can't it.  Before you know it, you'll be hitting the hard stuff, like Microns and *** III's.  Smile

An addition to the family...
Posted by Wingman_kz on Sunday, January 8, 2012 1:07 AM

Airbrush family that is. About a year ago I received a care package of sorts from Ken Schlotfeldt at Badger. Included was a 100LG. It was about the same time that I managed to land a job and get back to work so modeling time was limited. Over the last few months I did finally complete a project. It was my first AFV, the old Monogram M48A1 Patton. Not completely satisfied with the end result but that's due to my weathering skills and was no fault of the airbrush I used. That was almost exclusively the 100LG with a Fine tip and needle. The only thing I didn't use it for were the clear gloss coats, I switched to an Omni 4000 for that, also compliments of Ken. It took a little practice to get used to the 100 and find the right mix but after using it for a couple months I got pretty attached to it. So much so that since Chicago Airbrush Supply had a sale on with 12% off to celebrate the new year(which has been extended till the 8th btw) I decided to order it's little brother, the 100G. Also with a fine tip. Well, it arrived today...

Here it is with it's big brother...

It's a little shorter overall...

And here they are with their cousins...

Didn't have much time to play with it today. I rinsed it with a little lacquer thinner and tried it out of the box. Very similar to it's big brother. I tore it apart, polished the needle and lubed it and it sprayed just like the LG. I have filed back the crown on the regulator on the LG so I used it on the G. I like it a lot. I like having the small cup for smaller jobs, the angle of the cup and slightly shorter front end. Turns out my old style 200 single action has a medium tip and needle so I've used it a little on the LG. Gives broader coverage and you don't have to thin your paint as much. They may not be the latest style or have the finest tip available but these are very nice brushes and the price is very reasonable. If you find a deal on one don't hesitate.

Thanks very much to Ken at Badger Airbrush! And you might want to check out Chicago Airbrush Supply before the sale ends if you're looking for a new airbrush. 12% off helps and they have free shipping in the US on airbrushes. This is the third brush I've bought from them and they've been great to deal with.
