 CBennett:

yup thats the one I tried to order and why I started this thread/post..

I apologize,

your post confused me as you said the only one you could find was the enamel one, I didn't read that to mean the only one you could find in stock.

Did you try the Spain AK site?

Did you try google? I find them at Lucky Model, Ebay etc.

yes and no luck. im gonna keep my eyes open though I may even look into that paint in 1 hour video they have just to learn some techniques...the one where it looks like they paint a German Armored car.

I see a AK or MIG acrylic weathering/painting DVD is supposedly made but the ONLY one I can actually find is the Enamel painting Dvd not the Acrylic...

Miguel/AK Interactive has an all acrylic DVD produced by Vallejo, here:

Try Michigan Toy Soldiers if you are in the US.

Mostly because im a visual learner for the most part when doing stuff like that...I dont do as well trying something new when just reading it out of a book or looking at a web site..I normally do much better watching how someone else does it(preferably in person so I can ask immediate questions) and then replicate that...That was all. I looked at some stuff on the net and it really didnt help too much anyways..as to stuff like thinner to paint ratio they were using(it didnt say just showed them painting) the pressure they were painting at(again they didnt say) and anything else so i guess its gonna not be so great when I start lol.

Theres so much stuff about modeling on the internet I cant see paying that kind of price for DVDs. At Promodeler it cost you I think to get into the forum. I cant see that either.

Try youtube.  If you have realplayer, you can download the videos & save them to your HD for future reference.

I will be very interested in knowing the answer too.

Matt Swann has a 2-volume DVD set.

Phil Flory has a "Basic Airbrushing 2" DVD.

Both are excellent modelers. I will be very interested in seeing a comprehensive review of either set's technique and production quality. Too cheap to try them myself.

There are many videos on this topic on YouTube, but the quality varies a lot, from ok to misleading

Painting/Weathering W/ Acrylics Dvd?
Posted by CBennett on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 10:25 PM

Is there a painting and or weathering(for AFV mostly..but in sure the techniques would work on other stuff also) DVD that is out that would give me some hints/tips for starting to paint using my new airbrush and give me some good weathering tips also...I plan to use Acrylic paints. Ive seen a few but they are not available now for the last month+(I see a AK or MIG acrylic weathering/painting DVD is supposedly made but the ONLY one I can actually find is the Enamel painting Dvd not the Acrylic...im assuming the paints and methods used would be different,,,so in trying to be sure I get the Acrylic one..is there anything else?? I do better watching and seeing it in person or on a Dvd than reading about it in a book. Thanks in advance for your answers/Info.
