Airbrush adaptors
Posted by AdrianUK on Saturday, February 4, 2012 3:06 PM

Hi,

I have a new compresor and a couple of airbrushes that it came with, all though I am very happy with them I do have a Crescendo airbrush with 3 sizes in needles that I would love to use, the only problem is that it has a smaller connection thread. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I need and also if possible where to get it in th UK please?

On the assumption that that the brushes that came with the compressor are Chinese clones (BD.., AB...), they will have 1/8" BSP male outlets, whereas the Badger will have an M5x0.45 male outlet.

If you plan to use the compressor supplied airbrushes & the Badger, your easiest option would be to get a 1/8" male quick connect for your hose & the appropriate quick connect tails for all your airbrushes, like;

Hose part (also available with pressure control);

Tail for Badger;

Tail for clones;

I, too, like the quick connects but if you simply want to adapt your Badger to the more common 1/8 BSP (I assume that's what you have cuz only Paasche and Badger are different) you can get a Badger AB to 1/8 BSP hose adapter HERE for $2.98 - that way all your AB's will fit your new hose. You'll simply have to screw the hose on each time. Quick connects are super easy though and you can think about getting the same quick connects for all your brushes later.

PS In the UK you can get the adapter HERE

Oh yes, if you're going to be switching brushes on a regular basis, quick connects are the way to go. Makes life so much simpler.

I'm in the same boat, I guess. I have a Harbor Frieght comp/brush combo, and I have a Badger 150. I wanna be able to use the badger. The problem is, I'm not sure of the measurement. I need an adaptor, male end at hose, female end at Badger. Anybody know the measurements of Harbor frieght and Badger?

HF is 1/8" & badger is M5x0.45, a 1/8" male to M5x0.45 female is what you need - it will most likely be called 1/8" male to Badger female & the Badger thread is specific, so your only likely to find it at an airbrush outlet...

TCP do one on this page (part no. ABD A-BADGER);
