after cleaning my airbrush and changing the needle I think I may have messed up the airbrush. the paint splatters out of the brush similar to the paint being  too thick but it is not. can anyone help me with this

Look closely at the little brass tip with a magnifying glass.  See if there is a crack or if it has been stretched into a trumpet shape.  Hold it up to a light and look in the back end and check for any obstruction. Also check the little air passages in the head.  Run your fingernail lightly along the needle and feel for a burr.  Try spraying plain water just to make sure it isn't the paint.
