I used a bathroom vent fan in mine, vented outside. Does a good job. About $15 at Home Depot.

If you are just going to use an airbrush get a fan at least 200ish cfm, 350ish would be great.

Dont even think about using a rattle can in something this small.

I bought a 1HP shop exhaust fan and it handles a spray can just fine.

I dont mind helping more and dont take this as a brushoff  Big Smile but first search this forum for "spray booth" and read up on what has already been discussed. I think you will find enough reading material to take you into the wee hours of the morning and probably answer 90% of your questions.

Spray booth motor?

Getting back into the hobby after a 15 year break of getting married and raising a child. I would be grateful for any and all information. Building a spray booth and was wondering what would be the best fan and motor combination. Was thinking a 6" squirrel cage with a 1/8hp motor would be more than enough or would this be too much and have to step down a bit? Any thoughts please. Also will be using small furnace filters for outbound air and inbound after painting for drying area after pulling particulate paintout or should I have a separate booth for that?
