                        Always mount the Moisture trap as FAR AWAY from the compressor as possible

                        It's also possible that the water trap on that compressor is not very good and is more of a selling incentive than a good moisture trap. Wink [;)]

                        Yeah I have Mike,

                        The funny thing is that I can see water condensation in the trap but when I go to actually empty it, there's not much there.

                        One other thing.......Have you emptied the water out of the water seperator before trying the compressor and it still spits water?
                        I now this is common sense but sometimes we fail to do the little things that are so obvious. Wink [;)]

                        I agree with what Mad Model Factory said. Get another water seperator.
                        Mounting a water seperator directly on the compressor is a bad idea as it picks up the constant moisture that the compressor produces from the heat of the motor and some gets past it. I would either get an inline moisture trap that installs in the airhose or buy another water seperator and mount it several feet away from the compressor and then connect the airbrush to it.

                        My compressor works the same way, I have a 2nd moisture trap on my airbrush holder and that seems to take care of it.

                        I guess your compressor is similar to mine and does not have a tank?

                        Is it on the compressor itself?
                        How far is the moisture trap from the airbrush?

                        Moisture Trap Not Working ?

                        Hi all,

                        Having a problem with moisture hoping someone could give me some ideas as to the problem.

                        I have an aircompressor with a moisture trap built into it, but I am still finding that after about 15-20 minutes of use, I start to get moisture shooting out of the nozzle - this is happening on both my Aztek 470 and Iwata HC-P.

                        Any ideas ?
