i have a badger compressor with a braided hose . i need advise on purchasing a regulator and moisture trap. i see they come separately or combined.  Also, Do I need special tools to attach them? can anyone suggest what to get?.

Which Badger cmpressor is that? You can call Badger customer service to find out which regulator do they recommend.

If you get one of their low power compressor, the pressure may be barely enough to drive the airbrush. In that case, a regulator will cause too much pressure drop and will not be recommended.
