What type of air brush
Posted by itz on Sunday, April 22, 2012 3:17 PM

Hi,

I plan on buying an airbrush in the near future. I can't afford much and was wondering if it's a complete waste to buy a kit (brand new) that comes with a compressor. It's a dual action gravity feed with a tip hat can go from hairline to 1 1/2 inches wide. It is a no name brand and has a buy it now price of $55. The seller has a 99.5 rating.do I hold or spring for it?

thanx

Don't do it, if price is the main issue, then get a single action great little brush like the Paasche H.  As for a compressor, Harbor Freight selss a great little comp 1/8 hp, quiet and moisture trap. You're going to pay more than $55 for both but it'll save you the headache too!

Science is the pursiut of knowledge, faith is the pursuit of wisdom.  Peace be with you.

If you have never used an airbrush, I would not recommend a no-name bargain brush.  The quality of these is too variable, and support is non-existent.  Save up your money and buy a brand name.

This  page might be of some help.
