I can't find Krylon paints anywhere around here.  Has anyoine tried this combination?

Thanks

I did a test and thes are the results.  Looks grainy to me.  I applied the Rustoleum directly over bare plastic, let it cure, then shot the Alclad.

I have not tried Rustoleum black, but I have successfully used Alclad over Duplicolor auto paint black.  A very glossy black, it gives a good result with Alclad.

I tried the Krylon gloss black last summer. F- no, never again.

When I need gloss black, I use Tamiya X-1 + Tamiya Clear (X-19? can't remember off the top of my head) + Mr. Leveling Thinner. Much better:

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought

I like using Testors gloss black enamel thinned with Mineral Spirits. Very thin so it looks almost like smoke color. It will go on very smooth and glossy.

Just plan ahead so you can let it cure fully, maybe a few days.
