mr.surfacer "primer edition"

this. seeing how great surfacer was, i tried this. again, wasn't happy. it wipes off with ease. couldn't tell it was even sprayed on. 

I use the stuff that comes in the bottle with that name,,,,,"Mr Primer Surfacer 1000",,,,,,,I couldn't get "Mr Leveling thinner",,,,,,so, I thin it 50/50 with Tamiya "yellow cap" Lacquer thinner,,,,,,,,,maybe decanting your's from the spray can and thinning it 50/50 with Lacquer thinner will let you use it up without having to throw it out

my mix works almost the same as the Alclad primer

ha, you read my mind. i was thinking about decanting it.

if you use the bottled 1000 it works as either a primer or a "filler-primer",,,I need to try it with acetone though,,,,,,might give me more etching that L T

I have used Mr. Surfacer's 1200 primer in the spray can many times and have had great results.  Don't understand why you guys have had problems.  I wonder if they have changed their formula or something.

mr.surfacer is still the same formula. the mr.primer surfacer is totally different.
