Thanks for the interest. I will post a build thread with pictures. 1/24th scale truck, plan to spray the metal evenly in the areas needed. Then mask where the rust will come through the paint. Then paint of course. Remove masking and apply the rust accelerator. Never done anything like this before. Should be fun.

The Antiquing Solutions are a mild acid and can cause irritation to the skin and eyes. In general they are considered consumer friendly and carry no special restrictions and require no special safety precautions other than the normal effort to keep the liquid out of the eyes and to avoid prolonged skin exposure. We do suggest that if you are spraying the Antiquing Solutions that you wear a mask to avoid breathing the vapors. The Patina that forms from the result of this process also contains salts and materials that you do not want to breathe or come in contact with food. Rain runoff in particular can lead to contamination of fish- ponds if a treated statute or object is placed near a pond or fountain. Any patina finish used on a kitchen surface should be sealed. (emphass mine)

Ok it appears no one has done this. I would like to though. The paint has actual iron in it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what super cheap air brush I could buy to spray this stuff? I just don't know which type would be best suited to spray paint with iron in it. Would also not be good if any parts are magnetic... Internal/external mix, siphon, gravity fed, single/double action. Any advice at all? :)
I purchased the Sophisticate Finishes Iron/Rust kit. I want to avoid the brush marks. I would like to know if anyone has tried spraying the iron paint through an airbrush. Should I buy a really cheap airbrush to spray it?
