Burnt Umber is good. Or look into someof the pro modeler washes like dark dirt. Both have worked good for me.

 

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

What would be a good color for a panel line wash on WWII RAF/FAA aircraft? I was thinking burnt umber but dont know how it will really do for making those details pop..
