New to me Binks airbrush question
Posted by kustommodeler1 on Saturday, September 1, 2012 5:39 PM

Howdy folks! I was out today and just happened to stop in at a flea market (or as they say in this politically correct world- antique mall LOL), and there was a Binks Wren 59-10003 set 1 type A airbrush for $8 USD. It has hose, body, and 3 nozzles- 59-9, 59-10, and 59-101 included. The -9, and -101 are still sealed in thier tubes, never used.

It also has a siphon cap assembly that perfectly fits Model Master 1/2 oz bottles perfectly.

It looks brand new, mint condition, no corrosion or anything.

Did I score well on something to learn airbrushing with?Geeked Or should I think about something else?

Yes, you did. I think the Binks Wren AB is still available on special order for over $250.00 AB only. The three nozzles are for fine, medium and large openings, they should have 'needles' with them and if unopened probably do. My first airbrush over 45 years ago Embarrassed was a Binks Wren model B. Still have it!! Only problem I can think of is that there is an O ring inside the nozzle housing and after much time may be probably deteriorated but the O rings are available. The Wren is similar to the Paasche Model H or the Badger 350, I think a great AB to start. Yes

Cool deal, thanks! Here's a couple of pics. When I mentioned mint condition, I was truthful.

It says Wren A on one side and Binks on the other
