Need Fresh Air
Posted by PANZER826 on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 6:28 PM

Looking to buy an air respirator to use while spraying both out of rattle can and airbrush.  Any suggestions on a good one.  I was checking one out from 3M  Model 6211.  Anybody use this one?

Thanks for any advice

Roger that.  The 3M series 6000 respirators work great.  Have use one for years.  Can't smell anything I'm spraying when wearing that thing!

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Thanks everybody for the info.  Think I'll go with the 3m.  Wutdafunk; I usually try to spray outside but with winter coming I'll be in the basement work room.  I got a small home made spray booth that works ok but some of that rattle can spray gets nasty.

One thing to keep in mind, If you are wearing the respirator and smell paint then it is not working. Check and make sure you have a good fit around its edges. A good respirator with carbon filters will stop 100% of paint odor.
