Krylon seems to have a good selection of color "possibles" , and like you say they are priced right.

Also, Congratulations and Thanks for the article in the latest FSM; it hit a problem spot for me, so now I will be able to move forward more confidently

Krylon flat aluminum

I was just rejoicing about the return of Testors flat aluminum enamel at my LHS (that color had been missing for awhile).

I needed to get a fresh can of Krylon primer, which I go through quickly- I use a lot of it. Went to local Walmart.  I noticed on the shelf a color I had not seen before- matt aluminum.  Picked up some and used it on a kit yesterday. It is brighter than the Testors aluminum- almost more of a matt silver.  And, it is not as flat as the Testors- more of a semi-gloss.  Still, at the price of Krylon paint, it will be very useful.  Quick drying, and even if I use it for a base with a coat of Testors over it, it will be a good deal.
