White Spirits - what is it
Posted by Josy11 on Monday, December 31, 2012 2:02 PM

HI All,

I have bene reading up on several weathering teqniques and more than a few authors have discussed using "White Spirits" to remove a wash, etc. I suspect we crazy Americans have another name for it - does anyone know what this is?

Thanks to all who respond

Joe,  believe this just another name for mineral spirits ( or "paint thinner"), commonly used to thin or reduce alkyd (oil-based) enamels.

Maybe it's gin or vodka!

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

I like that possibility - a little for the paint, a little for the modeler, not much would get done though
