After building my outdoor log cabin in the garden as my wife wanted the dining room table back after 40 years of marriage Three years has gone by and I had a big problem with paint fumes during and after spraying. I searched the web and thought that for their size that shop bought spray booths were expensive. So off I went to my local (12 miles away) DIY-Kitchen store and sourced a kitchen cooker extractor hood. Remember I already have a spray booth / box of sorts.
After about an hour of cutting a rectangle out of the top of the box, putting a plug on and finding an extension lead and fitting the extractor tube, I had this...........................................
So for a fraction of the cost of a shop bought one I have a large spray booth with a powerful extractor unit with fitted filter that you can buy spares of in any hardware store.
As my wife didn't want to cut a hole in the wall of the cabin I just open the door, put the end of the ally pipe outside, switch on the integral light, switch on the fan to it's top speed (No3) you can clear any fumes you like.
