Thinning Tamiya smoke
Posted by echolmberg on Friday, January 18, 2013 7:39 PM

Hi guys!

Can I use 70% ethyl rubbing alcohol to thin Tamiya smoke?  I'm trying to use it as a wash.

Thanks!

You should be able to use it just fine. I'd imagine it will dry fast so I'd wipe off the excess asap.

Thanks Nathan!  I'm mainly going to use it in the undercarriage and wheel wells so I think I'll just use it as a pin wash.  Hopefully I won't have to wipe or wick off too much.
