Where I work at we buy, recondition then sell car wholesale to dealers. I was rumaging through one of the cars (you'd be surprised what kind of fun things people leave behind) and I came across this little "thingy." Does anyone know what it is? It is a cheap oval plastic with a single nylon "hair" on it. I found it a great device to clean out the nozzle of any airbrush. It works great and the hair doesn't dissolve in solvents. Any takers on the question?

In the picture you can see I have an Iwata HP-CR nozzle with the hair sticking through it.

Heath,

Between colors I have a spare airbrush bottle on the table filled with Testor's Brush Cleaner. When I'm done with a color I just swap bottles and blow some through the brush until it shoot s clear, then take the bottle off and blow straight air through until no Brush Cleaner is left. When I'm all done for the day I run the Brush cleaner through it one more time, then take the whole thing apart and lay it on paper towels to air dry.

I've used this same method on my Badger 200 for close to fifteen years now and have never had a problem with it. Perhaps it's the paints I use, don't know. But the method works for me.

Heath,

The Airbrusher's Brushes work great.

Coast Airbrush has them for $17.95.
